HortiCentre is a family run traditional garden centre mid way between Wakefield and Huddersfield.  They concentrate on selling core gardening products at competitive prices and stock them in depth.  Having one of the largest fruit and ornamental tree displays in the area and a constantly changing plant offering and monthly special deals makes them “every gardens friend’. Their customers range from knowledgeable professionals, allotment gardeners, through to enthusiastic amateurs and beginners.
Easitill has helped to support the growth of the business, by installing a ‘back-office’ Epos system enabling the management to monitor stock, and upload products, this single database system also works in tandem with their level 1 website, which enables the team to maintain and custom-edit up to 10 pages of content, keeping the company and products up-to-date without the need for any external help.
In addition to this Horticentre use the Easitill smartcard Loyalty scheme, which also works from the same hub. This has increased customer spend, frequency and retention levels, it also enables Horticentre to market to their most loyal customers directly with the very best offers, crucial in a competitive trading environment.
Rob Gardener Easitill’s Managing Director explains:
“The beauty of Easitill is that you can build up the elements of the Epos system with the business as it grows rather like Martin’s. We offer 4 levels of website from a ‘Company presence’ online through to a fully transacting e commerce site that works directly with the Epos system, this has been coupled this with a loyalty card ensuring that the business acknowledges their valuable customers and incentivises them to return – crucial in a competitive trading climate”

Rowan Garden Centre

Based in Chalfont St Giles in Buckinghamshire Rowan Garden Centre wanted to upgrade their current labelling offering .
Easitill installed the ‘easy to run’ Floralabel system enabling the team to have plant images for the very first time on their plants, trees and shrub labels in every label configuration from pot-sticks to shrub bands and tree flyers. The Floralabel system is linked to a comprehensive plant image database but in the case of unusual specimens the team can take a quick picture and upload them into the Easitill label templates at the click of a button.
The Floralabel system has enabled Rowan to ” future-proof” their business as they can print as many labels as they like at any point according to season and demand – very helpful when Easter comes late or early and with no wastage.

Autism Together

Established in 1992, Bromborough Pool Garden Centre (formerly Raby Hall Garden Centre), a Social Enterprise department of Autism Together, provides real life work opportunities for adults with autism. Five years ago, with Lottery funding, a new building was erected giving Autism Together the opportunity to open a coffee and retail shop furthering opportunities for the service users to gain experience in a work environment. With a new Service Manager, Lex Freeman, Easitill were contacted to help them produce labels for all the plants and shrubs. These new labels would then give them an opportunity to put their own branding on the plants they sell.

We sent our Easitill area engineer Chris to visit, labels in tow.

Chris walked Lex through the procedure of how to produce his own labels with plant information and pictures. Our extensive database of plants and shrubs exceeded anything that Lex expected and covered everything that he needed.
The interesting challenge came when Lex told Chris he needed a colour coding price system on the labels, as well all relevant plant information. As you can see because of our flexibility, the solution turned out very well. Bright coloured spots easily identify the pricing band.
Customers are far more likely to buy a plant knowing what it will turn into.
